How to sell your home without any updates

Now I almost titled this video How to Sell an Ugly Home. But there is No Ugly Home really right now. How about the top five things to sell an outdated home? Let’s dove in. And in this video, I’m going to go over a couple strategies that you can use if your home is not updated with latest trends and fashions, because not every home we sell is outdated. My name is Janine Sasso. I’m a local realtor in the north suburbs of Chicago, and I help my clients buy and sell successfully in those markets. The first thing I recommend is you survey your family and friends, people you trust that they have actually a honest yet objective opinion. And that might be a little hard because friends and family are sometimes, you know, they they don’t want to hurt our feelings. So be sure you tell them it’s okay, to be honest. What do you think I should do in order to look like a home buyer will just, you know, follow up with and again, it’s I saying because they tell you something is good, you know, for pure fact, they’ve taken with a grain of salt because you will want to make sure you ask a few people if the same thing comes up over and over and over again, maybe especially something that you want to check out. Also, what you can do is to make sure you are working with marketing materials that is highlighting your home strength is that not every bathroom is updated to the paint, but maybe the schools that your home is located in are highly desirable.

Maybe the yard things that your mom has to offer it is better than anything else in the neighborhood. Maybe you’re backing up to a great open area. Okay. There is there’s so many benefits to a house you have maybe not a windows natural light. There is a lot that can be highlighted. And a good agent is going to tell you that we’re going to be focusing on those strengths and not on the things that you need to spend $1,000 to update your bathroom sink and know that your first showing actually happens online these days. It’s true buyers will not spend the time to look at a property unless the pictures online are appealing to them. So make sure that you are having phenomenal inside pictures taken. Make sure that they are standing out completely. All done. Every project you want to do this is serious and it is declutter to the point where your pictures are looking great. Nothing compares to as we are moving things around one way or the other sometimes how you live in a home because it’s vastly different from how often a photographer still has to talk to take pictures, what highlight the best possible angle, burn them for them matter. So the best thing for you to do is really to make sure you are setting your home up for success. Definitely with an amazing entrance. Pay your entrance door, make sure it’s a peeling paint and nice to omit a read. Maybe sometimes nothing too crazy, but something that said to the buyer, This is a welcome home.

In other cases, we don’t really have a hard time doing that. We value it. You just do it and sell it right away.
